Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q1. What is the CCRUM Recruitment 2026 last date to apply, and is there any extension possible?
Ans. The last date to submit your application for CCRUM Recruitment 2026 is 31 July 2026 at 23:59 hrs. No extension or grace period is provided under any circumstances. The council strictly adheres to the announced deadline, so candidates must complete their registration well before this time to avoid portal congestion and technical failures.
Q2. Can I modify my application details after submission?
Ans. Account creation details (name, date of birth, gender) cannot be modified at any stage. However, CCRUM provides a Modification Window from 3 August to 5 August 2026 (10:00 AM to 23:59 hrs) to correct other non-critical information in your application. A modification fee of ₹300 per attempt per post is charged during this window. Note that if a modification makes you ineligible for the post, it will not be permitted.
Q3. Which posts are best for candidates with a nursing background?
Ans. Candidates holding B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing, Regular B.Sc. Nursing, Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing, or a Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery, registered as Nurse/Nurse & Midwife with the State Nursing Council, are eligible for the Staff Nurse position (Group B). This post requires 1 year’s experience in a minimum 50-bed hospital and has an age limit of up to 35 years, with applicable category-wise relaxation.
Q4. What is the minimum qualifying percentage in the CBT for SC/ST/PwBD candidates?
Ans. For SC/ST/PwBD candidates, the minimum qualifying percentage in the Computer-Based Test is 25%. All other candidates (UR/OBC/EWS) must secure a minimum of 30% marks. Negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer applies to all posts except MTS, which has no negative marking. The exact cutoff score depends on the difficulty level of the exam and the number of qualified candidates per post.
Q5. Are Group A positions suitable for someone with a Master’s degree in Biotechnology?
Ans. Yes, Research Officer (Physiology) in Group A is open to candidates holding a Master’s Degree in Biotechnology from a recognised institution with 3 years’ post-Master’s research experience, or a Ph.D. in the relevant subject. Age limit is up to 40 years (with applicable category-wise relaxation). This is a senior research position with Pay Level-10 (₹56,100-₹1,77,500 + NPA).
Q6. How are ties broken if two candidates score equally in the CBT?
Ans. In case of equal marks in the CBT, CCRUM applies a systematic tie-breaking formula. The ranking order is: older age (higher age preferred), higher subject marks, higher marks in the second part of the syllabus, earlier degree/diploma completion, and finally higher final aggregate percentage. This ensures a fair and consistent merit list preparation across all posts.
Q7. Can I apply for more than one post in CCRUM Recruitment 2026?
Ans. Yes, you can apply for multiple posts using the same login reference number. However, you must submit a separate application and pay the applicable fee for each post. For example, if applying for a Group B and a Group C post, you would pay two different fees depending on the examination fee structure for each group. All applications use the same account, but a separate fee payment is mandatory for each post.
Q8. What is the application fee for OBC candidates applying for a Group A post?
Ans. OBC candidates applying for Group A posts must pay a total fee of ₹2,000, consisting of a Processing Fee of ₹500 and an Examination Fee of ₹1,500. SC/ST/PwBD/EWS candidates and women candidates applying for Group A posts are exempt from the Examination Fee and pay only ₹500 (Processing Fee only). Ex-Servicemen also pay ₹500 regardless of their reservation category.
