About the Staff Nurse Role

Staff Nurses provide direct patient care in clinical settings, administer medications, maintain medical records, and assist physicians during procedures. As an A-Grade Nurse under FPL-6, you will be part of SKAU’s AYUSH healthcare delivery system. The role combines technical nursing skills with knowledge of Ayurvedic principles, positioning this as a specialised healthcare position in the university’s medical infrastructure. Career progression follows Haryana Government norms with opportunities for further advancement in nursing management or specialisation.

About the Ayurvedic Pharmacist Role

Ayurvedic Pharmacists prepare, compound, and dispense Ayurvedic medicines under strict quality protocols. This FPL-6 position requires both pharmacy expertise and knowledge of traditional Ayurvedic formulations. Working within SKAU’s AYUSH framework, you will manage pharmaceutical inventory, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the university’s teaching and clinical operations. The role demands precision, regulatory awareness, and commitment to traditional medicine standards.

About the Clerk Role

Clerks handle administrative and clerical duties including data entry, document management, file maintenance, and general office operations. At FPL-2, this is an entry-level administrative position requiring speed and accuracy in computer-based work. Notably, Clerks must qualify the State Eligibility Test in Computer Appreciation and Applications (SETC) within the two-year probation period; failure to do so results in no increments until qualification, with continued failure potentially leading to service discontinuation. The role demands strong organisational skills and computer proficiency.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q1. Can final-year students awaiting results apply for these posts?

Ans. No. All educational qualifications must be completed and obtained by the closing date (21/08/2026). Candidates awaiting results cannot apply because the university will not accept certificates issued after the closing date, and your eligibility is determined as on 21/08/2026.

Q2. I am from Punjab. Can I apply for SKAU Recruitment 2026?

Ans. Yes, candidates from other states can apply. However, you will pay ₹1,500 as application fee (general category male). You cannot claim Haryana-specific reservations (DSC, OSC, BC-A, BC-B, EWS), but you can apply under UR (Unreserved) category. SC/ST candidates from other states may qualify for their respective national-level reservations; check the official notification for clarity.

Q3. What is the minimum typing speed required for the Clerk post?

Ans. The minimum qualifying typing speed is 30 Net Words Per Minute (NWPM) in English on a computer. Marks are awarded at 0.5 per NWPM above 30, with a maximum of 15 marks. For example, if you type at 50 NWPM, you score (50 – 30) × 0.5 = 10 marks. Typing below 30 NWPM typically results in failure of this phase.

Q4. Is the Clerk role permanent or on a fixed-term contract?

Ans. The Clerk position is a regular/permanent position under FPL-2. However, you must qualify the State Eligibility Test in Computer Appreciation & Applications (SETC) within the two-year probation period (extendable by one year). If you do not pass SETC, you will not receive increments and may face service discontinuation.

Q5. How much is the fee for female candidates applying for the Staff Nurse post?

Ans. If you are a female candidate of General category in Haryana, the application fee is ₹750. If you belong to SC/ST/OSC/BC-A/BC-B/ESM/EWS of Haryana, you pay ₹375. If you are a woman with 40%+ benchmark disability, the fee is nil. Female candidates from other states are classified under the ₹1,500 general category fee.

Q6. What is the selection process for Ayurvedic Pharmacist?

Ans. Ayurvedic Pharmacist selection consists of two phases: a Written Test (90 marks, 105 minutes) covering your concerned field (50 questions), Reasoning & Mathematics (10), Haryana GK & Current Affairs (10), General English & Hindi (10), and Basic Computer Knowledge (10); and Academic Achievements assessment (10 marks) verified at document verification. There is no negative marking. Candidates are ranked, and the top 1:5 ratio per category are called for Physical Document Verification.

Ans. Your application will be rejected. Paying the fee alone is insufficient – you must also upload the duly filled, signed, and scanned application form before 21/08/2026 at 04:00 PM. The notification explicitly states that without the signed form, applications are treated as incomplete and rejected.

Q8. Are there any physical fitness or medical standards for these posts?

Ans. The notification does not specify physical fitness tests or medical standards for Staff Nurse, Ayurvedic Pharmacist, or Clerk. However, all candidates are subject to document verification, which may include medical examination if mandated by the university.
