Candidates selected for Municipal Sanitary Inspector posts will be appointed on a fixed pay of ₹26,000 monthly for the first five years. After five years of satisfactory service, they become eligible for regular appointment under the 7th Pay Commission Level-4 scale, subject to the outcome of Supreme Court proceedings SLP No. 14124/2012 and SLP No. 14125/2012. Candidates appointed at Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation will not be classified as Gujarat Government employees initially but will transition to the same Level-4 scale after three years of satisfactory service, as per the revised corrigendum issued on 20/07/2026.
