Understanding Your Result Status – Next Steps
If you are on the selected list:
You have qualified based on your final marks meeting or exceeding the cutoff for your category. Your ranking and final score (out of 250) are now published. Check the official notification immediately to note your merit position and final marks. However, as per GPSC rules, qualifying in the examination does not automatically confer any right to appointment – the Government must be satisfied of your suitability before a final appointment is made. Begin preparing for the document verification stage, which is typically the next phase of the recruitment process.
If you are on the waiting list:
You did not make the main merit list, but remain eligible for selection if vacancies arise due to selected candidates withdrawing or being found ineligible. Download your result and note your merit position within the waiting list. You will be notified if a vacancy occurs in your category. Keep your documentation ready for immediate submission if called.
If you are on the unsuccessful list:
You did not meet the cutoff marks for your category in this examination. Review the cutoff marks published for your category and compare them with your final score to understand the gap. You will be eligible to apply in the next recruitment cycle when GPSC advertises the same post again. Keep your scorecard, response sheet, and detailed marks statement for reference when applying again.

As clarified by the Government, the PwD-reserved posts have been filled by non-PwD candidates of the respective category, and these PwD posts will be carried forward as supernumerary vacancies in the next recruitment attempt if a qualified PwD candidate is available.
