Calculate Your Probable Score

The Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) will announce the marking scheme details in the final notification. Once the scheme is confirmed, you can calculate your score using the formula:

Score = (Number of Correct Answers × Marks per Correct Answer) − (Number of Wrong Answers × Negative Marking)

Cross-check your response sheet against the official master question paper. Count only those answers that match the provisional key exactly. For any answer you marked differently, note whether TRB’s key shows a different option – these differences are your potential objection candidates.

Should You Raise an Objection?

Raise an objection if:

  • The official answer in the master question paper conflicts with the answer shown in the provisional key.
  • You have a reference from an authoritative, standard textbook (NCERT, prescribed state text, or equivalent) that supports a different answer.
  • The question paper itself contains a printing error, ambiguous wording, or multiple defensible answers.
  • Your reference is published, widely recognised, and not from a coaching institute or website.

Do NOT raise an objection if:

  • You are unsure about the correct answer and cannot cite a published source.
  • You rely on social media posts, coaching app answers, or YouTube explanations without textbook backing.
  • You guessed the answer and got it wrong – the objection fee is non-refundable regardless of outcome.
  • Your coaching centre disagrees with the key but has no textbook citation to support the alternative answer.

TRB’s subject experts review all objections and rely solely on authoritative published references – personal opinions and unverified sources carry no weight.

How to Challenge the Answer Key

Objections are accepted only through the online Objection Tracker facility on trb.tn.gov.in. TRB does not accept objections via email, courier, post, or in-person submissions.

  1. Log in to trb.tn.gov.in using your Application ID and Password.
  2. Navigate to the Objection Tracker or Objection Submission portal.
  3. Enter the question number exactly as shown on the master question paper.
  4. Select the option (A/B/C/D) you believe is correct.
  5. Upload or attach your supporting proof from a standard textbook.
  6. Submit your objection before 22/07/2026.

Critical Notice: Objection submission is non-refundable. Each objection you raise will be reviewed by TRB’s expert panel. Only objections backed by credible, published references will be accepted. TRB’s decision after expert review is final and binding.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q1. Where can I download the TN TET Answer Key 2026?

Ans. The provisional answer key is available at trb.tn.gov.in. Log in with your Application ID and Password, then click “View Master Question Paper with Tentative Answer Key” to download the PDF for your paper (I or II).

Q2. What is the difference between provisional and final answer key?

Ans. The provisional answer key released on 15/07/2026 is tentative and open to objections until 22/07/2026. The final answer key, released after expert review of objections, is the definitive version used to calculate results. Only the final key is binding.

Q3. When is the last date to raise objections against the TNTET 2026 provisional answer key?

Ans. The objection submission window closes on 22/07/2026. After this date, no objections will be accepted. Objections must be submitted only through the online Objection Tracker portal at trb.tn.gov.in.

Q4. What types of supporting proof does TRB accept for objections?

Ans. TRB accepts only standard, authoritative textbooks (NCERT, prescribed state curriculum texts, or equivalent publications). Coaching guides, private study notes, website references, and social media posts are not valid proof. Your objection must cite the specific textbook, chapter, and page number.

Q5. What happens if my objection is accepted?

Ans. If your objection is accepted after expert review, the final answer key will be revised accordingly. If the correct answer changes from what you marked, your score will be recalculated and updated. TRB publishes the revised/final answer key on its website before result declaration.

Q6. How many objections can I raise against the TN TET Answer Key 2026?

Ans. You can raise as many objections as needed – one per question. However, each objection incurs a non-refundable fee. Raise objections only for answers where you have a clear, published reference, as the fee is lost regardless of the objection outcome.

Q7. Is the objection fee refundable if my objection is rejected?

Ans. No. The objection fee is non-refundable, whether your objection is accepted or rejected. TRB does not refund fees for unsuccessful objections. Submit objections strategically – only when you have strong, textbook-backed evidence.

Q8. When will the final answer key be released?

Ans. The final answer key will be published after TRB’s expert panel reviews all submitted objections. Based on TRB’s standard practice, this typically occurs within 2-3 weeks after the objection window closes (expected around early August 2026). The exact date will be announced on trb.tn.gov.in.

Your Next Step
