Eligibility Criteria for NSOU B.Ed. Special Education 2026

  • Candidates must possess an RCI-recognized D.Ed. in Special Education and a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks (55% for Engineering/Technology with Science & Maths).
  • Candidates without D.Ed. Special Education but holding a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree with 50% marks (55% for B.E./B.Tech.) are also eligible.
  • There is a relaxation for reserved categories as per the West Bengal Government rules.
  • Special weightage is given for parents of children with disabilities.

Eligibility Criteria for NSOU M.Ed. Special Education 2026

  • Candidates must have a B.Ed. in Special Education with a minimum of 50% marks and a valid RCI Registration, or
  • A B.Ed. General along with D.Ed. in Special Education with at least 50% marks each, or
  • A PG Diploma in Special Education (recognized by RCI till 2014-15), or
  • A 4-year Integrated B.Ed. in Special Education with at least 50% marks and RCI Registration.
  • A valid RCI CRR Number is mandatory.
