Stage 3 – Medical Examination

Indian Army TGC-144 Recruitment 2026 – Training Details
Selected candidates will be detailed for training at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, for approximately 12 months (January 2027 to December 2027). On successful completion of training, cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the rank of Lieutenant. One year ante date seniority from the date of commission will be granted to Engineering Graduates of TGC Entry for the purpose of seniority, promotion, and increment of pay. Candidates will not be allowed to marry during the period of training. A candidate who marries after the date of application, though successful at SSB and medical, will not be inducted for training. The cost of training at IMA is at Government expense; candidates withdrawing for personal reasons will be liable to refund at Rs. 16,260/- per week (with 8% annual increment) as per MoD letter No. 16(1)/2017-D(GS.II) dt 15 Mar 22.
Indian Army TGC-144 Recruitment 2026 – Pay & Promotion Structure
On successful commissioning, the pay of the officer shall be fixed at the first cell of Level 10 in the Pay Matrix. The training period shall not be treated as commissioned service. A stipend of Rs. 56,100/- per month is payable during the entire duration of training at IMA, Dehradun. CTC on commissioning is approximately Rs. 17-18 Lakh per annum (excluding free medical cover and travel to hometown once a year).
