Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions by the closing date of the online application on 12-06-2026.

Educational Qualification

Qualification Details
10+2 / Equivalent (Mandatory) Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) from any recognized education board. PCM percentage is calculated based on marks obtained in Class XII only.
JEE (Mains) 2026 (Mandatory) The candidate must have appeared in JEE (Mains) 2026. JEE Mains 2026 Application Number is mandatory to be filled for B.E/B.Tech courses.
Marital Status Unmarried male only. Candidates must undertake not to marry until they complete full training.

Indian Army TES-56 Recruitment 2026 – Age Limit

Candidates must not be below 16½ years and above 19½ years on the first day of the month in which the course is due to commence (01 January 2027). You should not be born before 01 July 2007 and not after 01 July 2010 (both days inclusive).

The selection process includes the following stages:

Stage 1 – Shortlisting of Applications

Basis of Shortlisting Details
JEE Mains 2026 Common Rank List (CRL) Cut-off to be fixed by the Integrated HQ of MoD (Army). The shortlisting result will tentatively be announced in the first week of July 2026.

Stage 2 – SSB Interview (Five Days)

Stage I Psychological test, Group Testing. Candidates who fail Stage I are returned on the same day.
Stage II Group Testing Officer tests and Interview by Interviewing Officer. Only those clearing Stage I proceed to Stage II.

Stage 3 – Medical Examination

Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a Medical Examination at the nearest Military Hospital.

Indian Army TES-56 Recruitment 2026 – Pay & Promotion Structure

On successful commissioning, the pay of the officer shall be fixed at the first cell of Level 10 in the Pay Matrix. A stipend of Rs. 56,100/- per month is payable at IMA only (after 3 years of training).
