Sports achievements from 01/04/2024 onwards at International, Junior or Senior National Championship, Khelo India Games, Youth Games, or Khelo India University Games are considered for eligibility. Candidates with exceptional talent outside the listed events or positions may also apply. Women candidates meeting the qualifying requirements similar to male candidates are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

Only unmarried Indian male and female sportspersons meeting specific marital status, nationality, and sports achievement conditions are eligible for Direct Entry Havildar and Naib Subedar (Sports) posts.   • Winner of any medal in the Asian Games.
  • Winner of any medal in the Commonwealth Games or the World Cup.
  • Represented India twice in the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, and World Cup.
  • Represented India in the Olympics.

Pay, Allowances and Pension

Selected candidates receive the same pay, allowances, and post-retirement benefits as Regular Serving Personnel of the Indian Army. Candidates will not be permitted to appear in trials without original educational marksheets and passing certificates, except where the school or college principal provides an original ink-signed certificate confirming the documents are deposited with the institution.

Eligible unmarked male and female sportspersons must download, fill out, and post the application form through Registered Post only.
