  • A Diploma or equivalent in music for Hindustani or Carnatic Classical Music from any recognised university

Selection Process

Selection for IAF Agniveervayu (Musician) Intake 01/2027 involves sequential stages conducted at recruitment rallies:

Stage 1: Verification of Eligibility Documents

Original or DigiLocker-verified educational certificates and applicable documents are scrutinised at the rally venue before the Physical Fitness Test.

Stage 2: Physical Fitness Test (PFT-I)

1.6 km run completed within 7 minutes for male candidates and within 8 minutes for female candidates.

Stage 3: Physical Fitness Test (PFT-II)

Conducted after 10 minutes of recuperation:

  • Male candidates: 10 push-ups (1 minute), 10 sit-ups (1 minute), 20 squats (1 minute), with rest breaks between exercises
  • Female candidates: 10 sit-ups (1 minute 30 seconds), 15 squats (1 minute), with rest breaks between exercises

Stage 4: English Written Test

Objective-type examination with 30 questions over 30 minutes based on the Matriculation/10th CBSE syllabus. Candidates must qualify for this test. Answers are marked on OMR sheets; results are declared the same day.

Candidates declared medically unfit may apply for an Appeal Medical Board (AMB) by depositing ₹40 through e-MRO/MRO within three working days of the medical examination.

Important Instructions
