The Directorate General of Training (DGT), through the National Instructional Media Institute (NIMI), released the CITS AICET Result 2026 on 10 June 2026. Candidates who took the All India Common Entrance Test (AICET) for the Craft Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) 2026-27 admission cycle on 31 May 2026 can now check their scorecards and rank cards.

Qualified candidates are eligible for the first round of online counselling, starting on 15 June 2026. You will need your registration number and password to access the results at the official NIMI admission portal (https://nimionlineadmission.in).

CITS AICET 2026 Exam Pattern

The CBT exam ran for 2 hours and consisted of 100 objective-type questions (1 mark each) with no negative marking.

Merit List and Counselling

The merit list depends on your AICET score out of 100. Separate lists are published for each reserved category. Ties are broken using official prospectus rules.

Counselling starts on 15 June 2026. Participants must pay a non-refundable counselling fee of ₹500 online before seat allotment. Following the three main rounds, a spot round or walk-in admission runs from 3 to 5 August 2026. Allotted candidates must report to their assigned institute with original documents to finalize admission.

CITS 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following requirements at the time of counselling: * Minimum Age: 18 years as of the academic session start date. * Maximum Age: No upper age limit. * Educational Qualification: NTC (ITI) / NAC / Diploma in Engineering / Degree in Engineering or equivalent in a relevant trade. Final-year students are eligible for provisional admission.
