Important Instructions for Candidates
Only Indian citizens with a valid Bihar domicile (for reservation benefits) are eligible to apply; candidates from outside Bihar can apply under the UR category only.
Candidates must possess the prescribed minimum qualification (Graduation) on the closing date of the application.
No hard copy applications will be accepted – online submission only via BPSC OTR portal.
Examination fee is non-refundable; incomplete applications without a fee will be rejected.
Only one OTR registration per candidate is allowed; multiple OTR registrations can lead to rejection.
All documents must be uploaded in PDF format at the time of online application – hard copy submissions to the Commission office are not required.
Married women must provide their father’s (not husband’s) caste/creamy layer certificate for reservation claims.
For PwBD reservation, only a PwBD certificate issued by the Civil Surgeon/CMO of a Government hospital will be accepted as provisionally valid.
Bihar Government employees are allowed a maximum of 5 attempts at competitive examinations after regular appointment.
Candidates who have been directed not to appear by UPSC/State PSC/other selection bodies due to misconduct are not eligible to appear in this examination.
Submitting wrong/incomplete/misleading information in the online application will make the candidate solely responsible for adverse consequences.

Negative marking of 1/3 mark applies for each wrong answer in the Preliminary Examination.
