A total of 5000 training seats have been announced for engagement as Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. BOB Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the cut-off date (01-05-2026). Candidates must be registered on Government Apprenticeship Portals (NATS and/or NAPS) before applying. Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.

Candidates must be a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 28 years of age as on the cut-off date (01-05-2026). Candidates are required to pay non-refundable Application/Intimation/Examination Charges/Fees to BFSI SSC through the secure payment link provided in the application form. BOB Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process

Selection for engagement of apprentices will be based on three stages – Online Examination, Document Verification, and a Test of the local language of the State. Candidates must qualify for all three stages. Final selection is subject to medical fitness as per the Bank’s requirements. A State-wise and Category-wise Wait List will be published for vacancies arising from non-acceptance or non-reporting by selected candidates; this wait list remains valid for 1 year from result declaration or until the next engagement exercise, whichever is earlier.

There will be NO negative marks for wrong answers. The online examination will be remotely proctored – candidates can appear from any location of their choice using a smart mobile phone/laptop/desktop/tablet with an operational front camera, microphone, and stable Wi-Fi internet connection. SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates get 5% relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks on aggregate. Merit list will be drawn State-wise and Category-wise in descending order of aggregate marks. Tie-break: higher age is preferred.

Stage 2 – Document Verification

Candidates qualifying the online examination will be called for Document Verification at a Bank-designated centre of the State/UT applied for, at their own expense. Bank of Baroda will not reimburse travelling expenses for Document Verification.

Candidates who produce a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet, having studied the specified local language of the State/UT, will not be required to undergo the language test. Candidates who fail to qualify for the local language test will not be eligible for engagement as an apprentice.

Important Instructions for Bank of Baroda Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Candidates

  • This is NOT regular employment or contract employment in the Bank. Apprentices will be TRAINEES only and not employees of Bank of Baroda.
  • The apprentice shall have no right to claim employment in the Bank after completion of training. Bank of Baroda is under no obligation to offer regular employment to apprentices at any point during or after their training.
  • Candidates can apply for engagement as an apprentice in one State/UT only. Allotment to a different State/UT will not be considered under any circumstances.
  • Candidates must first register on the NATS and/or NAPS portals before applying; applications without portal registration are not valid.
  • The process of registration is complete only when the applicable fees/charges are deposited with BFSI SSC.
  • No Ex-servicemen / Disabled Ex-Servicemen shall be engaged as an apprentice; there is no reservation for Ex-servicemen in this engagement.
  • OBC candidates belonging to the ‘Creamy Layer’ are not entitled to OBC reservation and age relaxation; they should apply as General / General (OC/HI/VI/ID) as applicable.
  • Change of category once submitted in the online application will not be permitted at any stage.
  • Candidates should submit only one application; in case of multiple submissions, only the last valid completed application will be considered, and the fee paid for earlier registrations will be forfeited.
  • The Apprentices are prohibited from joining/forming any Union Body.
  • All correspondence will be made only on the registered email ID; candidates should keep it active throughout the recruitment process. No hard copy intimation will be sent by post for the Online Examination.
  • Candidates must appear for the selection process (Document Verification, Language Test) at their own cost; the Bank will not reimburse travelling expenses.
  • Apprentices will not be provided with Transport / Hostel facility or any other residential accommodation during training.
  • Stipend of Rs. 15,000/- per month will be paid on completion of each month after adjusting Loss of Pay, if any. No other allowances/benefits are payable.
  • All amendments/corrigenda (if any) will be published only on the Bank’s website (https://bankofbaroda.bank.in) and https://bfsissc.com – candidates should visit regularly.
  • Any canvassing directly or indirectly shall disqualify the candidature. Use of unfair means, impersonation, or misbehaviour will lead to disqualification and/or debarment.
  • Legal jurisdiction for any dispute arising out of this recruitment shall be Mumbai only.
